Please ensure your sewing machine is in good working order and you are familiar with it, always bring your owners manual just in case :)
You’ll also need a basic sewing kit. Our classroom is well stocked with rulers, cutting mats and irons for your use, but you’ll need to bring your own cutters, scissors, pins and extra hand and sewing machine needles. These items are all available for sale in the store.

Free Owners Lessons

Any machine purchased from Algonquin Sewing Center includes free owners lessons at your convenience. Remember to take advantage of this before starting classes. If you’ve purchased your machine elsewhere but would still like this service, the cost will be $20 per hour for a one on one lesson on how to use your machine and it various features. An hour is generally enough for a standard sewing machine.
