Knitting and Crocheting Club

Choose your own project and receive assistance as needed. We have many new patterns and yarns to choose from or perhaps you already have something started and need time to get it done. Enjoy 2 hours a week with others who will surely inspire you! Beginners Welcome.

If you have a project that you need some help with, this class is for you. Teachers will be available to help/guide you with your project, whether it is a sewing project or a quilt.

Thimbleberries Quilt Club
Thimbleberries 2013 "Calendar Sample Quilt"

The sampler throw is a 12 month pattern series with monthly meeting projects as well. The quilt measures 72 in by 89 in. We meet the last Tuesday of the month. No sewing is done at the meeting. Instructions are given for projects as well as lots of sharing.

Twisting Pinwheels

Here's a fun fast little quilt you'll love making. You sew blocks together and when you use the L’il Twister Tool, little pinwheels appear. It's a great size for placemats.

Embroidery Workshops

Attention all embroidery fans! Join us for the first Saturday of each month, October to June 2013, for an all day workshop on embroidery and embroidery related topics. Bring your laptop and get help with 5D/4D software. Bring your embroidery machine and special project and get help with techniques, or just get a day of uninterrupted sewing and embroidery for yourself. This is a great opportunity to explore what you can do with your embroidery machine. See you there.
These are drop-in workshops, but please let us know a day in advance if you wish to attend as space is limited.

Accent on Angles

The quilt "Jelly Beans" 55 by 55 inches uses the basic techniques for a shattered angles quilt. Fabric is stacked and slashed and cut at intervals. The stacks are shuffled and are sewn back together with narrow strips for contrast. A fun quilt with all kinds of possibilities. Purchase of the book of "Accent on Angles" is required.

Fractures

Fractured quilts are made by taking more than one copy of an image, slicing each copy, and then sewing them back together to create an "exploded" image. Purchase of the book: "Fabulous Fractures" is required.

Kid's Quilt Camp

We will work on a "Rail Fence Quilt ". Purchase of book and fabrics are necessary. Students choose their own fabrics prior to the first class and they will need their own sewing machines in good working order, your owner's manual and a basic sewing kit (scissors, pins, thread).
Children must be age 10 or older. Please send drinks and snacks for your child.

Requirements for all sewing classes:
PLEASE ensure that your sewing machine is in good working order and that you have your Owner's Manual and spare bobbins & sewing machine needles with you. You will need a basic sewing kit which includes sharp scissors, sharp pins, tape measure, rotary cutter with a good blade, hand sewing needles and thread. If you don’t already have these items, they are available for purchase at the store before/during classes. |
