News from the Store

Well here we are on our way into summer again.  It's been so busy here at the store, I've gotten a bit behind in the newsletter department.  But with so much coming up in the next few months, I can't let it go any longer.

First of all, I guess I better break the big news.  Brigitte, our longest standing staff member has decided to move on in a new direction.  She will be leaving us in July.  But not to worry, we still have Helen and we also have an amazing new talent who is training under Brigitte's talented and experienced eye; Wayne Klatt.  Wayne spins wool, knits, crochets, sews, quilts (hand and machine) and is just an all around great fit for our shop.  After one of Brigitte's famous silk ribbon embroidery classes, Wayne proved himself to be not only a quick study, but a true artist with a needle!  With decades of retail experience I feel quite confident that Wayne will be able to provide the type of quality service and sound advice that our customers have grown accustomed to.
Good Luck Brigitte!
Welcome aboard Wayne!
We've also been developing some of our existing talent in the store.  Helen has recently attended a Software Training workshop at Husqvarna Viking in Toronto. After three intensive days of training under one of Husqvarna's leading software education experts, Helen assures us she is more than ready for the task of taking over the new Sew Embroidery Club starting this summer.  She will also be our go-to person for software questions and problem.
Way to go Helen!
We've got TONS of classes coming up starting in the summer and really picking up into the fall and winter.  With a full crew of instructors on board, we can have something going on every day or night of the week so check your schedule and sign up for some great instruction and have some fun while you're at it.  Our teaching staff now includes Karen Moore, Tracy Headley, Dawna Steele,  Helen Mc Gregor and Wayne Klatt.  We will have some guest appearances from others throughout the year also.

Quilt Show Weekend

Don't forget this weekend is the quilt show at the Petawawa Civic Center.
Saturday May 30th : 10am - 5pm
Sunday May 31st : 11am - 4pm
Come on by and visit us at our booth.  We're going to be showing off our latest addition to the store; the Mega Quilter 18.8 longarm on the new Grace Inspira quilt frame. We will have some UNBELIEVABLE DEALS on the Sapphire sewing machines.  Don't miss this fantastic opportunity!
